While my teaching interests are cross-disciplinary and quite varied, all of my courses include experiential learning projects targeted towards specific audiences that raise the stakes of student participation while also engaging transferable skills into other courses and in the professions. I have experience teaching first-year composition, writing in the disciplines, writing center studies, rhetoric, research methods, contemporary American literature, genre fiction and multi-ethnic studies. In addition to promoting low-stakes writing and writing-to-learn in all of my classes, I aim to include multimodal assignments that teach digital literacy.
